As part of the Application Delivery Services leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and leading the technical standards required to delivery secure, reliable, and efficient to support of applications. The role will initially focus on Application Services and will expand to scientific development teams. The successful candidate will create a framework to educate, track, and report on software engineering practices within Application Services. The role will involve understand secure coding governance and practices which will also involve an understanding of secure coding standards. The successful applicant will be required to outline practices for off the shelf application integration to enable the DDG to deploy application of both bespoke and vendor supplied. Providing a framework to build technology solutions to reduce the time for team ramp up and provide a standard delivery approach to building applications.

The role will lead and manage a team of technology experts deployed to projects providing an excellent delivery experience whilst being ambassadors to implementation standards the team will maintain.

The successful candidate will be required to be actively involved in projects as technical leader, whilst continuing the efforts to lead the continuous improvements of software coding standards. The role will require excellent planning and time management to ensure they can balance delivery and ongoing standards improvements.
