What does the role involve?
Reporting to the Finance Manager (Property), you’re a key partner to the Property business unit in the management of Australia Post’s Property portfolio. You’ll provide financial management, reporting and business partnering to members of the Property leadership team this includes responsibility for month-end, budgeting and forecasting deliverables as well as reporting on key property financial accounting balances.

This role will also see you

• Build and maintain strong and trusted relationships with relevant Property Managers and internal Finance stakeholders
• Consolidate your understanding of accounting standards applicable to the property division (e.g. AASB 16)
• Develop and maintain relationships with our outsourced property service provider to implement and maintain processes to ensure accurate, complete, and compliant reporting.
• Collaborate with various parts of the business to produce high-quality management reporting, including tracking financial performance, business efficiencies and insights into cost drivers of variances across several cost categories
• Complete analysis and provide commercial advice and insights to ensure the best financial and operating outcomes for Australia Post and Property
• Identify, analyse, and report opportunities for efficiency improvement and cost management

What are we looking for?

• Minimum 7 years financial advisory experience preferably in the property industry
• Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting or related discipline
• CPA/CA (or equivalent) qualifications are mandatory
• Proven success in a finance, planning & analysis or finance business partnering, particularly with multiple and senior clients
• Demonstrated high level financial, analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills
• Ability to correlate and sift data from a wide variety of sources and develop an understanding of business performance based on this data
• High-level PC skills (particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint) and exposure to TM1 or other data analysis software
