FINANCE AND AUDIT OFFICER

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Australia New Zealand Policing Advisory Agency (ANZPAA) as a Finance and Audit Officer within the Corporate Services Team.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

Reporting to the HR and Finance Team Leader, the Finance and Audit Officer is part of a small team responsible for the delivery of human resources, finance, and governance support activities.

The Finance and Audit Officer is responsible for providing all transactional finance services to the agency including, but not limited to, payroll, reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable, financial reporting, and budget preparation.

The Finance and Audit Officer is also responsible for ensuring activities are compliant with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.

Successful applicants will demonstrate:

• Strong communication, problem solving and critical thinking capability.
• Experience using SAP and Oracle or similar applications.
• Knowledge of financial regulations.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
• A relevant tertiary qualification or 3+ years’ experience in a similar role.

This position is full-time fixed term until 30 June 2023, with opportunity for extension beyond this date.
