Your role at Ausgrid

The Data & Engineering Applications Engineer undertakes engineering or technical activities to support the organisation’s network to ensure safety, reliability, sustainability, and affordability for our customers .

• Develop software applications to support the effective management of asset data and engineering related or technical activities, in order to support and optimise the performance and reliability of the organisation’s network.
• Undertake engineering or technical activities to support and optimise the performance and reliability of the organisation’s network.
• Provide solutions to maximise the use of asset data, supporting engineering analysis and processes.
• Manage projects or programs, or elements of these across the overall life cycle, such as planning, design and delivery, or the end‐to‐end process.
• Undertake data analysis, assessment, calculations or reporting to support software development projects, and research into new technologies
• Prepare, present and / or review relevant documentation such as scopes, estimates, programs, processes, reports, and critical papers

What we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you will have tertiary-level qualifications with experience in a similar role. You will have comprehensive knowledge and experience in software development and best practice. You will have advanced computer skills with experience in a variety of software packages, tools, hardware, and general applications

• Software development experience in;
  • .NET / C# development experience
  • SQL/SQL Server knowledge
  • ASP.NET MVC / razor pages / SPA and HTML/CSS
  • Microsoft Azure platform configuration and management
• Comprehensive understanding of cyber security in relation to software development and security and communication protocols
• Demonstrated experience with database management and configuration
• Demonstrated experience in undertaking or managing multiple tasks and/or projects and prioritising activities.
• Demonstrated experience liaising with a variety of stakeholders, including the resolution of complex complaints/issues
