INDUSTRIAL CLEANER
Aurora Cannabis Inc. is currently recruiting for an Industrial Cleaner to join our Pemberton facility. Reporting to the Director, Facility Management, the Industrial Cleaner is responsible for the industrial cleaning and sanitizing of the facility, as well as sanitizing equipment and components. Some of the incumbent’s key responsibilities will include:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensuring all equipment for cleaning is well maintained and operated properly including vacuums, electrical cords, vacuum bags, brushes, etc.
Ensuring all fans are disassembled for cleaning submersible parts, while wiping down all non-submersible parts with the appropriate materials and chemicals
Responsible for ensuring drain covers are cleaned with the appropriate materials and chemicals
Mops all floors where there may be any wet areas ie: under tables
Sweeps and dry-vacuums the tables removing all debris
Dry dusts light fixtures using a dry mop
Able to meticulously work around plants in order to not disrupt growth and to prevent damage
Washes tables using appropriate cleaning solutions with brushes to reach into all drainage areas.
Cleans tables with wet vacuums to ensure all water is removed
Ensures all PVC piping is wiped down or hosed down with appropriate materials and chemicals
Ensures all fans and other equipment are placed back properly where they were originally removed from for cleaning
Ensures all rooms are sanitized including tables, floors, walls, and all tools and equipment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Completion of High School Diploma
1-2 years’ labour experience
Experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment considered a strong asset
Must be able to pass a criminal record check
Must be able to work in a team environment but also be self-motivated and able to work independently as well
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
Good communication skills both verbal and written
