ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate must be able to work well within a team and have good communication skills as the role will involve liaising with both Head of Departments (HOD’s) and external suppliers.

They must be flexible to the needs of the department to ensure the team objectives are met. Excellent attention to detail would be key in this role as is the ability to prioritise and manage their time efficiently. Good organisational and administration skills are essential in this role. We want to support someone who is willing to learn and develop within the team and company as a whole.

THE ROLE

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Accounts Assistant will be an integral part of the Finance department based at Auriens Chelsea. This role will also support finance functions across other entities in the business. You will be responsible for the day-to-day revenue audit and account receivable functions. This is a dynamic role where you will be asked to get involved in a number of other accounting tasks as they arise, and we grow as a company.

Main tasks – Auriens Chelsea

• Managing Accounts receivable and Revenue audit function for Auriens.
• Ensure revenue journals and receipts are posted both in PMS and Accounting System regularly.
• Bank reconciliation of all operating bank accounts are done regularly.
• Credit card reconciliation are done regularly.
• Reviewing Debtors Ledger and ensuring all no overdue payments. Follow-up where needed.
• Ensure internal controls are in place in all operating and financial areas.
• Assist the Financial Controller and Management Accountant to complete the month end and preparing month end management reports and preparing reports to external loan providers.
• Assist the Financial Controller and Management Accountant during the statutory audit.
• Prepare analytical reports as and when requested by Financial Controller.
• Assist the Financial Controller in other accounting functions as and when requested by Financial Controller.

Support of other Entities

• Preparation of monthly cash flow/draw and request funds as required.
• Analyse and reconcile bank statements to ensure preparation of cash flow.
• Reconcile bank statements of the development entities.
• Bookkeeping and preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts for Auriens Management Services and Lodge Road project.
• Liaising with the auditors and assisting in the statutory audit of these entities.
• Weekly monitoring of prepaid card transactions and posting the same.

EXPERIENCE

• Finance and Accounting experience – at least 2 years. (Hospitality experience desirable.)
• Qualified or Part qualified – ACCA, CIMA or AAT
• Ability to communicate effectively with senior managers and external stakeholders
• IT literate and highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
