The Role:

We are currently seeking a seasoned and motivated Global Lead WHSE (Work, Health, Safety, and Environment) to join the team. As the Global Lead WHSE, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the alignment of our WHSE agenda with business strategies and corporate principles across the region. Responsibilities:

• Formulate and establish the overarching strategy, frameworks, and management system for WHSE within the organization.
• Implement systems and processes to effectively manage day-to-day WHSE operations.
• Provide expert advice to the CEO and senior leadership team on WHSE matters.
• Create frameworks to ensure WHSE activities adhere to regulations, client requirements, and international standards.
• Oversee incident investigations and actions to address and prevent recurrences.
• Develop and implement training programs and WHSE initiatives to enhance awareness and build competencies.
• Lead WHSE assurance and audit programs to ensure compliance and identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor the effectiveness of the implementation of a global Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) management system.
• Define and implement sustainability strategies and policies.
• Review and execute sustainability program objectives, monitoring progress and ensuring compliance.
• Monitor and sustainability/ESG performance and progress to stakeholders.
• Develop or oversee the development of sustainability evaluation or monitoring systems.

Requirements:

• 15+ years’ experience in the renewable/battery/clean energy industry.
• Deep knowledge of WHSE regulations, international standards, and best practices.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated commitment to sustainability and ESG principles.
• Relevant certifications and qualifications in WHSE management are a plus.
