The College of Nursing at Auburn University is seeking
applications for the position of Academic Advisor I/II/ III .
The successful candidate will, under limited supervision, provide a
variety of professional and administrative student services, in the
College of Nursing.

Requirements for Additional Job Levels
Level II requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited
institution plus 3 years of experience in advising of which 2 years
includes full-time primary duties of advising in higher
education.
Level III requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited
institution plus 5 years of experience in advising of which 4 years
includes full-time primary duties of advising in higher
education.
Salary will be commensurate with education and experience.

experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate
education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1)

Desired Qualifications
A Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Counseling,
Communication, Education, Nursing or a relevant field.
Previous advising experience in an educational setting.
Knowledge of Auburn University academic rules and
regulations.
Core curriculum, transfer credit guidelines, and evaluation
procedures.
The ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty and
staff.
Outstanding listening skills.
Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
The ability to work independently and with a team.
Proficiency with relevant computer skills, such as Microsoft Office
suite, Zoom, and BANNER .
