Auburn University at Montgomery seeks a Dean of the College of Education who possesses a collaborative and transparent leadership style, solid administrative skills, and experience in accreditation (national and state), assessment, fundraising, and grant writing. The position requires a candidate with a terminal degree in an area offered by the College, successful higher education administrative experience as a department chair or similar, and evidence of teaching, research, and service sufficient for a faculty appointment at the rank of full professor. The ideal candidate should also have experience in recruitment and retention of quality students at the undergraduate and graduate levels, a record of inclusive and equitable practices that demonstrate acceptance of diversity and social justice, and evidence of leadership, support, and mentoring for all assessment and accreditation activities within the College. Given the evolving landscape of education, we value a candidate with an innovative mindset who will position the college well in maintaining its competitiveness.
