A Software Engineer – Application Developer is an individual with proven experience in adhering to software engineering best practices, delivering software products/applications generating business value. They are expected to have continuousimprovement mindset, driving value-based process, product/application optimization.

Required Skills and Experience

Mandatory Skills:

• 8+ Years’ software development experience broadly ranging from front-end, back-end, cloud automation and orchestration

• 3+ Years’ development experience in designing, developing, and maintaining applications using .NET Core

• Experienced in building Real-Time Event-Driven Systems and Server-Side Messaging with an advanced back-enddevelopment skillset

• Experienced in Serverless Computing utilizing Azure Data Factory, Durable Azure functions, Service Bus, Azure blob storage, and LogicApps

• Experienced in building Low Latency Solutions for Data Acquisition and/or Trading

• Proficient in one or more of Data Development (SQL, No SQL, Cloud Datastores etc) technologies

• Proficient in cloud native deployment with CI/CD Pipelines. [One of GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps] into serverless containers (Kubernetes, Docker)

• Experience in Agile teams applying the best architectural, design, unit testing patterns & practices with an eye for code quality and standards.

• Experience in the energy industry, familiarity with end-to-end power trading value chain and wholesale energymarkets (ideally European Markets)

• Blended Data Engineering Experience, with experience in Python, Data Bricks and Power BI

• Adaptable to change, versatile and pragmatic and able to balance development approach based on business criticalities

• Comfortable talking to business users and can translate business needs into tangible IT deliverables

• Keeps up-to-date knowledge with recent IT software developments (open source and cloud in particular)

• Uses initiative and owns end-to-end solution delivery, brings ideas to the table, is inquisitive and excited by new technology

• Proactively communicates and shares understanding and experience within a team

• Used to working in a flexible, independent manner on a mixture of small unstructured and large structured items

Key responsibilities

· Solution consultation and development in accordance with the enterprise technology principles, methods, standards, and practices.

· Estimation, solution design, detailed technical design, application technical deliverables including code, associated tests and documentation.

· Contribution to functional excellence in terms of definition and maintenance of standards, methods and tools, bringing in best practices from market standard implementations.

· Manage complex integration scenarios and interfaces between on-premise solutions, cloud and legacy systems.
