Primary responsibilities will include;

• Design, develop, test, maintain and document program code in accordance with user requirements, and system and technical specifications.
• Researching, consulting, analysing and evaluating system program needs
• Identifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing systems and associated processes, procedures and methods
• Testing, debugging, diagnosing and correcting errors and faults in an applications
• Programming language within established testing protocols, guidelines and quality standards to ensure programs and applications perform to specification
• Writing and maintaining program code to meet system requirements, system designs and technical specifications in accordance with quality accredited standards
• Writing, updating and maintaining technical program, end user documentation and operational procedures
• Experience in SIT, UAT and Production movement
• Perform Unit testing for the developed changes.
• Prepared Technical Specification Document and System Handover Document
• Provide consultation to stakeholders on technology solutions.
• Perform Troubleshooting / Debugging to resolve difficult to reproduce
  production incidents and defects.
• Provide BAU and on-call technical support on need basis
• Raising awareness to project team on the potential impacts of any code refactoring and make effective recommendations for QA test coverage.
• Improve user interactions with functional and useful design
• Providing advice, guidance and expertise in developing proposals and strategies for software design activities such as financial evaluation and costings for recommending software purchases and upgrades
• Help ensure all project targets have been met within the test plan
• Ensure all measurements and metrics have been maintained.
• Determine severity for any defects identified and manage escalation and resolution path
• Responsible for defect tracking for projects under their control.
• Attend meetings and conference calls
• Any other duties as assigned by the Line Manager

To be successful in this role, you will have the following attributes,

• Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent experience in IT highly regarded
• Business orientation with strong IT background.
• 5+ years’ experience in Testing and Support in a Financial Services environment is essential.
• Billing Systems experience required, and Credit card or Consumer Finance experience is mandatory.
• Experience in Postilion and EFT domain is preferred.
• Experience in working in a support role, providing a service to internal or external customers is mandatory.
• Should have experience working in Migration projects and Webservices.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Implement improvements to standard testing processes, metrics and documentation.
• Expertise in Analysis, Design & Development of products ATM & POS, E-COM applications and Digital Payments.
• Experience in handling Scheme mandates like VISA, MASTERCARD, EFTPOS.
• Having knowledge of testing frameworks, tools and simulators like FINSIM, VISA, MC with strong unit testing experience.
• Proficient in reviewing and handling Transaction processing fundamentals, message standards like AS2805, ISO8583 and ATM Native messages.
• Hands on experience on Switch Migration, Hardware Migration (TANDEM).
• Having strong knowledge of SDLC, architecture, tools, methodologies including structured Analysis/Design, Data Flow Diagramming techniques and Technical Specification
• Having knowledge of testing frameworks, tools and simulators like FINSIM, VISA, MC with strong unit testing experience.
• Identify innovative new test activities and procedures to improve the quality of the testing performed.
• Develop comprehensive and accurate test conditions based on defined testing requirements.
• Develop clearly written test scripts based on the defined test strategy.
• Develop comprehensive test execution plans and reports.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills at all
  levels.
