Financial Accountant – Hybrid working based in Cheltenham

We fully support hybrid working and have both working from home and flexible working policies. For this particular role, we would expect the candidate to be based at our Cheltenham Office, two days per week. Cheltenham is ideally located for candidates commuting from across Gloucestershire, Worcestershire, Oxfordshire, and Bristol.

This is a new opportunity due to growth and expansion of the company. We are looking for a qualified accountant with strong technical skills who can drive statutory reporting, accounting standards (FRS102 and IFRS), internal controls and taxation within this rapidly growing business.

Main responsibilities

• Full responsibility for the year-end accounts
• Budgeting, financial modelling and analysis
• Review of Internal Controls
• Audit Preparation & Liaison
• Corporation Tax Modelling & Planning
• Ad Hoc Information Memorandum and Due Diligence Documents

Qualifications, skills, and experience

Essential:

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant with 1 to 3 years post qualified experience
• Graduate with at least a 2.1 in a STEM, Business or Finance degree
• Top 20 Accountancy Firm
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS and FRS102).
• Financial Modelling skills

Desirable:

• Solid experience of working in a finance team with good understanding of the reporting cycles
• Corporation Tax knowledge
• Finance Systems capability
• Previous experience in Financial Services

Salary and benefits
Up to £55,000 depending on experience.
