General Context
The Healthcare Business of bioMérieux is dedicated to providing to the leaders of the Pharmaceutical Industry best in class solutions to improve their quality control practices. Leveraging the unique know-how and technology offering of developed by bioMérieux to fight infectious diseases, the Healthcare Business has established a strong leadership position in automated microbial control solutions. The rapid evolution of the science, technology and regulatory requirements of the Pharma Industry has led the Healthcare Business to continuously invests in innovative solutions and propose to its customers a portfolio of solutions extending the field of application of automated microbiology and bringing digitization to the whole QC process.
The rapid development of cell and gene therapies is leading the Business to orient its innovation, marketing and sales effort in this direction, aiming at establishing an even broader leadership, while the segment is still in an early stage of development.
In this context, bioMérieux Healthcare Business has notably initiated a strategic partnership with Accellix, a company dedicated to providing innovative Cellular Testing solutions to the ATMP segment. Despite its undeniable potential in the long term, the ATMP segment is indeed characterized by a vast majority of therapies still under clinical trial while only a handful have been authorized by the main regulatory authorities. Global Pharma leaders have started investing heavily in this area and are ramping-up both research and production capacities, but the underlying science is evolving rapidly, as well as manufacturing technologies and regulatory requirements. In addition, a significant know-how is still being developed in the hospital environment. Such specificities call for the creation of a dedicated organization within the Healthcare Business, dedicated to the development of a better understanding of the trends and specific needs of the ATMP segments, the establishment of a strong visibility as soon as during the clinical trials, and proposing an adapted portfolio and stales strategy, anticipating the industrial deployment of the most promising solutions and technologies.
Missions
The ATMP Business Director’s main mission is to establish the leadership of bioMérieux in the ATMP segment, through the building of a strong market knowledge, the establishment of a specific portfolio strategy, the deployment of a specialized sales team, leading to a consistent and sustainable revenue growth.
The main accountabilities will be the following:
Lead a multi-disciplinary team composed of Sales, Marketing and Scientific Affairs, providing support, coaching and drive in the realization of their mission and helping each individual to grow in confidence.
Establishes and provides to the Healthcare Business and its partners a clear strategy, structured around a multi-year plan, shared internally and relevant to the Company’s Business Processes
Establishes a yearly ATMP-specific Budget and plans for the corresponding resources and incentives, within the ATMP Business team and through its network of partners
Manages the commercial relationship with Accellix and ensures the integration of its portfolio of solution within the bioMérieux ATMP portfolio of solution
Establishes strong links with the Strategic Account Management team, and provides them with support to address the corresponding accounts with the most adapted portfolio of solutions and selling tools
Contributes to the management of the Healthcare Business, providing strategic insights, contributing to defining priorities and targets, and the necessary means and structure to achieve them
Develops a strong network within the Company and establishes relevant management and governance practices, aiming at ensuring best in class performance in terms of strategic management
Typical studies, experience, skills and qualifications
10+ years of experience in the cell and gene therapy segment, either within a Pharma company or as a provider to this industry
Proficiency in strategic account management practices
Experience working at a global and regional level.
Proven experience and track record in managing culturally diverse teams, complex projects and cross functional resources in a matrixed environment
Soft skills and behaviors

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships
Full mastery of sales performance metrics. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. Budget management, financial projection skills
