Atlas Accounting Group Hiring for Virtual Accountant Job at Remote Full Time

Atlas Accounting Group is not your typical accounting firm, and we are not looking for a typical accountant! Our rapidly growing business uses the best apps to make working and serving small business clients remotely frictionless and effective. We are looking for a skilled and progressive candidate that has been withering under less than inspiring leadership and is looking for a better way to work in this industry.

If you have been working for a traditional accounting firm and dread tax season, long hours, and are tired of dinosaurs holding you back, this is the job for you! We consider 35 hours per week full-time and will never ask for overtime. Our tax practice is limited to only monthly subscription clients so we can better serve business customers and protect our staff. We use a great tech stack that helps us get the job done efficiently and effectively.

This position will be responsible for several clients, from syncing sales data to preparing management reports and everything between. Understanding of the complete accounting cycle, interaction of third party apps with QBO and Xero, and the movement of data between systems is critical. Our clients are specialty contractors – HVAC, electricians, plumbers, chimney service/installation, etc. You would be responsible for learning the accounting functions of the various CRMs they use and making sure the data is synced properly with the accounting platform. Ideal candidates will find this very exciting! We have a supportive culture for learning new things. If you already have experience with ServiceTitan, Housecall Pro, or Jobber, that would be a key advantage. Experience using cash flow projection tools would also be amazing.

We could list out the various duties of an accountant, in an accounting firm… those that know, know, and those that don’t, don’t. Our focus is on monthly accounting services for specialty contractors with some outsourced CFO/Controller services sprinkled on top. We have fixed fee subscription pricing, with some value priced projects.

This position is considered full-time at 35 hours per week with no expectation to ever work over 40 hours per week. Compensation is $55-60k per year, salaried. Fully remote. Benefits are negotiable. Flexible schedule with some overlap with Pacific time zones, if client work requirements are met, and after orientation period.
