Atlantis University is a growing, accredited institution offering courses and academic programs that lead to associate degree, Bachelor’s degrees, Master’s degrees, certifications, and other diplomas in the fields of Business, Health, and technology.

Atlantis University is currently seeking a bilingual Dean of Academic, who will be responsible for the overall Academic Department. We are looking for results-oriented, energetic individuals who have effective decision making skills, and a first focus on students.

The Dean of Academic is responsible for the delivery of educational programs and services for the campus. The Dean of Academic is responsible for managing the academic department and faculty for both on-campus and on-line programs.

Responsibilities:

In this role, you will be required to oversee all academic affairs including the School of Business, Technology, Engineering, Education, Healthcare (both in-campus and online), AUX, Registrar Department, and Library Resource as it relates to Academics Affairs.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Hiring, manage, and training new faculty.
• Confirm and ensure that faculty are in place for new term teaching assignment.
• Participate in the start week Orientation and activities for new faculty and student orientation.
• Welcome new students and monitor them throughout first term.
• Monitor and maintain campus curriculum.
• Strengthen the academic offering, which means work towards a competency-based curriculum, improve skills development, incorporate faculty that are aligned with the expected professional profiles, and develop research.
• Cultivate partnerships with potential employers, coordinates networking events, and strengthen the professional network of our student community.
• Develop a plan to incorporate innovative learning materials, practice labs, software tools, simulations and case studies that can facilitate learning and a that will generate unique quality value for the university.
• Achieve programmatic accreditation for programs within each of our schools.
• Develop articulation agreements with other educational institutions.
• Develop industry connections including internships and apprenticeships.
• Grow the Continuing Education Department with the development of programs, paths, diplomas and certifications that are in high demand. These programs should be built in such a way that complies with the Department of Education requirements for Title IV funding.
• Development of new degree programs that contemplate the skills needed for the workforce of the future. All content must strategically include the most adequate CIP codes (Classification of Instructional Programs).
• Develops a structured, strategic, professional development program to ensure students meet their career goals.
• Contribute to the increase of University Graduate and Undergraduate programs, and student enrollment.
• The Academic Dean maintains the campus attrition rate by monitoring Last Day of Attendance (LDA), retention, participating in campus meetings with Financial Aid, Registrar.
• Monitor and manage student Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) through Semester Student Advising, Graduate, Drops, Leave of Absence and Academic Interrupts
• Required to teach at least one course per semester or as needed with no additional compensation.
• Ensures internal control oversight and compliance with laws and regulations, safeguarding of assets, compliance with University policies and procedures, reliability of internal and external reporting, and efficiency and effectiveness of operations.
• Ensure accreditation standards are being met.
• Ensure campus meets and exceeds student satisfaction goals.
• Develop a culture of excitement, growth, and academic quality mindset.
• Must be Bilingual: English/Spanish

The Dean must have a minimum of a PhD with previous academic experience and management experience. This is a full time position that requires day and evening.
