Atlantica Hotel Hiring for Receptionist at Halifax, NS Full Time

The Atlantica Hotel Halifax hiring a Receptionist to lead our already fantastic team. You’ll be responsible for managing the reception area, supervising front office staff, enforcing hotel policies, and ensuring guest services are exemplary.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Carry out all Reception duties, working as part of the Front Office Team (reception, reservations and concierge).
• Ensure complete guest satisfaction through the prompt handling of guest queries in a friendly and efficient manner.
• Answer the switchboard and hotel telephone.
• Give a warm and friendly welcome to all guests upon arrival.
• Deliver excellent customer service to all guests at all times.
• Assist in the training and development of new members of the team.
• Communicate hotel and city services to guests.
• Balance all financial records and reports at the end of each shift.
• Communicate clearly with tour guides and organize group luggage to and from bedrooms.
• Take messages on behalf of both the guests and Managers and ensure their delivery.
• Participate in all relevant internal training.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A friendly and welcoming approach.
• Ability to remain calm during difficult situations or in a very busy environment.
• The ability to work unsupervised.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including a pleasant telephone manner.
• Good administrative skills and the ability to use email and booking systems.
• Good team working skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$23.00 per hour
