Our client in the Food Distribution industry is looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to add to their team in Newark, NJ. ing to the Director of Sales, you will be a key contributor to the company’s growth. Manage a team of 12-14 salespeople and ensure customers receive the highest quality service. Our client is looking for a passionate, motivated leader with at least two years of experience in Food Sales as well as leadership experience in sales or business management. Ideal candidates will be team players who enjoy mentoring others and possess excellent communication and presentation skills. To be successful in this role, you must be proactive and have a passion for Food Services.

Sales Manager (Food Distribution/Manufacturing) Responsibilities:

• Lead and mentor the sales team
• Assist with closing business and securing accounts
• Recruit, build, and develop the sales team
• Build sales strategy and budget to achieve sales goals
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with customers and key accounts
• Forecast annual, quarterly, and monthly sales revenue and present to management
• Deal with pricing, collections, distribution, and service issues as they arise
• Identify opportunities to increase customer loyalty, customer base, and prospective outreach
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve sales objectives and new development ideas

Sales Manager Qualifications:

• 5+ years of B2B Sales experience required
• 2+ years of Food Distribution or Manufacturing sales experience required
• Leadership in sales or business management experience required
• Basic Excel Proficiency required
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
