Atlanta Public Schools Hiring for Paraprofessional -21st Century After School Program (FY’ 22-23) at Atlanta, GA Full Time

Performance Responsibilities:
Provides assistance to an assigned after-school teacher tutor (ASTT) with academic and enrichment components for the after-school program

Works individually with assigned students to ensure that each student benefits from the assignment or task

Assists the ASTT with the preparation of program materials as it relates to daily lesson plans

Make copies and prints materials for classes

Monitors students and assists with after-school snack time

Assists administrators and other staff members in the orderly, expedient and safe transition of students from classrooms to bus area

Assists with training volunteers and guide assigned groups as requested

Performs other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator

Required to attend scheduled shift during regular business hours as mandated

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION:

• High School Diploma or GED required, and Para Assessment test, or minimum of 60 semester hours/90 quarter hours of college coursework

CERTIFICATION/LICENSE:

• Georgia Paraprofessional Certificate

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 2 years of experience with After-School Programs and Activities or working in an after school setting preferred
