Project Manager – Contract position

Location: West Yorkshire & Cheshire (multi-site)

Length of Contract: 6 months

Rate: £400 per day (Ltd co. outside IR35)

Heavy engineering / Fabrication / Installation & Commission / Site safety

The Client:

We are working with a key global client, who have multi sites in the UK and abroad. They are looking for a Project Manager for a key upgrade Capex project at one site, and a brand-new installation at another site, to start ASAP. This will be for approximately 6 months, managing the projects across two facilities.

The role:

For the position of Project Manager, you will require to conduct the following duties:

v  Site project management with overall contractor and sub-contractor responsibility

v  Ensure that personnel, equipment, documentation, and technical issues are managed to ensure the success of the project

v  Fully conversant with the Health & Safety at Work Act and CDM regulations

v  Managing the refurbishment, and installation of a variety of complex structures and capital equipment

v  Seeing projects through to commission and final hand over to operations

v  Deal with all technical aspects, reporting any snags to the General Manager

Person Specification:

The successful Project Manager will need to have the following attributes:

v  Ideally HNC/HNC Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

v  Relevant experience in engineering site projects

v  SMSTS card

v  Have excellent communication skills and be able to relate to both client and workforce scenarios

v  RAMS (Risk Assessments & Method Statements) from first principles

v  CDM Regs / NEC projects / Commercial awareness

v  Ideally located to the M62 corridor
