Electrical (Multi-skilled) Maintenance Engineer

3-Month Contract

Location: Wakefield

Rate: £30.00 – £35.00p/h (Limited – Outside IR35)

Shifts: 4 on 4 of continentals

Packaging / FMCG / Process Manufacturing / automation

Our client is a nationwide supplier of packaging solutions to the major supermarket sectors. The company are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias, for a 3-month contract. For the right candidate. Working part of a small nit maintenance team on a 4 on 4 off 12 hr shift basis (4 days / 4 nights), our client is part of a large packaging Group, who offer a modern, state of the art working environment.

The role of the Maintenance Engineer will involve the following:

• Reactive breakdowns & PPM work
• Fault find and repair on Sprockets, gearboxes, sensors, pneumatic cylinders – fault finding what’s gone on
• Maintenance engineering of de-stacker / re racker – automation, packaging machinery and process plant equipment
• Electrically – 24 vault control (wires – a lot of issues) fault finding, motors 243 phase 415.
• PLCs – Allen Bradley inputs and outputs
• Massive array on manuals and drawings – need to be able to read drawings
• Trouble shoot, find a solution, choose kit, set it up/install, set parameters and make improvements

As Maintenance Engineer you will need the following skills and attributes:

• Electrical engineering Time served apprentice trained or NVQ L3 required
• Multi skilled electrical / mechanical
• Industrial FMCG environment – reactive / work under pressure
• Pro-active, driven, ability to work independently
• Attention to detail, suggest improvements
• Industrial/FMCG production industry experience (ideally packaging / automation etc)
