£40-£45ph LTD

 3 – Month contract with possible extensions

This well-established manufacturer of special purpose machinery in the power generation sector and is the market leader in its sector. Following some significant project wins, they are going through a rapid growth phase. The design team are now starting to work on several new projects for their major clients, workload has increased and there is a real need to maintain the quality of product that it delivers. As a result, this company needs to recruit a to help with a conversion project immediately on a contract basis. The role of a Mechanical Design Engineer will involve:

• The design of large noise reduction enclosures 
• Taking client specifications and creating initial designs
• Producing stress calculations, applying thermos fluid principles
• Participate research and development activities

The Mechanical Design Engineer will need to have the following experience:

• Mechanical Design Experience
• Stress Calculations
• Be able to use a well-known design package (MathCAD, AUTOCAD, Inventor, Solidworks)
• Hand Calculations
• Have an understanding of fabrication
