Mechanical Design Engineer (3D) – Burton Upon Trent

Contract role, PAYE = £23.25 per hour + £2.81 per hour holiday pay / Umbrella = £30 per hour

The company are looking to install an Interim Mechanical Design Engineer to support their thriving design team and keep up with the current demand from their clients. The role of a 3D Mechanical Design Engineer will involve:

• Mechanical detailing / Design in 3D on AutoCAD / Inventor / CADWorx
• All pre-engineering is done, solely responsible for producing 2D & 3D layout drawings

• Layouts of piping, P&ID’s and ancillary equipment
• Produce Bills of Material in conjunction with the drawings
• Liaise with internal teams

The 3D Mechanical Design Engineer will need to have the following experience:

• Mechanical Design Engineer experience within the process industry
• Experience completing detailed layout drawings
• Capability to create 3D P&ID models in an effective and methodical way

• Creative ability and hardworking
