3D Mechanical Design Engineer

Process equipment manufacturer

Contract role, £25 per hour Umbrella

3-month contract with possible extensions.

This well-established process manufacturer is the market leader in its sector and following some significant project wins, they are going through a rapid growth phase. The design team are now starting to work on several new projects for their major clients, workload has increased and there is a real need to maintain the quality of product that it delivers. As a result, this company needs to recruit a 3D Mechanical Design Engineer to help with a conversion project immediately on a contract basis. The role of a 3D Mechanical Design Engineer will involve:

• Mechanical detailing / Design in 3D on AutoCAD / Inventor / CADWorx
• All pre-engineering is done, solely responsible for producing 2D & 3D layout drawings

• Layouts of piping, P&ID’s and ancillary equipment
• Produce Bills of Material in conjunction with the drawings
• Liaise with internal teams

The 3D Mechanical Design Engineer will need to have the following experience:

• Mechanical Design Engineer experience within the process industry
• Experience completing detailed layout drawings
• Capability to create 3D P&ID models in an effective and methodical way

• Creative ability and hardworking
