Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer (electrically biased)

3-Month Rolling Contract

Location: Huddersfield / Bradford / Dewsbury / Wakefield / Leeds

Rates: £30.00 – £35.00p/h (Umbrella only – Inside IR35)

Shift: Fixed Night shift over four – Mon to Thurs

Coatings / chemicals / Process Manufacturing / FMCG

Our client is an internationally recognised coatings manufacturer and supplier to high integrity industries such as aerospace and O&G, to you retail DIY industry. The company are looking for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias, for a 3-month rolling contract. The ideal candidate needs to be show proof of qualifications (C&G Time served / NVQ L3 Electrical etc) for site insurance purposes, and able to supply their own tools.

The role of the Maintenance Engineer will involve the following:

• Reactive breakdowns & PPM work – 60/40 split
• Maintenance engineering of machinery, automation, and process plant equipment
• Working on a variety of kit from tanks and vessels requiring MIG welding, to capital equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, and automated machinery
• Fault find and repair on panels, transformers, sensors, relays, 3 phase and single-phase motors etc
• Working effectively with the teams and keeping production running
• Mechanical breakdowns as well as electrical work

As Maintenance Engineer you will need the following skills and attributes:

• Electrical engineering Time served apprentice trained or NVQ L3 required
• Pro-active nature / ability to work independently on nights
• Plant process manufacturing/FMCG (ideally Chemical / beverage / dairy etc)
• Good work ethic and motivated

• 9:30pm – 6:30am Monday to Thursday (4 shifts)
