Electrical Project Manager -HV – Teesside, North Yorkshire

3-Month Contract (Likelihood of Extension)

£500-600p/d DOE (Ltd Co. Outside IR35)

Heavy Engineering / Process Plant / Power & Distribution / Strategy Management

I am working with a key client in the Teesside area who are a multinational organisation who supply their product to the global marketplace. They operate a complex process plant consisting of a heavy engineering environment.

They are looking for a Electrical Project Manager -HV to support their complex operations, overseeing Power and distribution, offering guidance, support, and strategic solutions to solving problems and ways of improving.

For this position of Electrical Project Manager -HV, you will require to conduct the following duties:

• Provide Leadership and guidance, monitoring and looking at standards, and competencies framework
• Support and oversee the Electrical team, consisting of Electrical Lead/Section Engineers, Supervisors and Technicians
• Day to day guidance and support to Engineering Director
• Manage the substation (High Voltage 11kv-33kv authorised person)
• Adhering to all electrical industry standards and legislation within a heavy engineering high risk environment
• Strategic support to day-to-day operations and internal projects
• Assessing potential Major hazards – Overseeing assessments of hazards

The successful Electrical Project Manager -HV will need to have the following attributes:

v  Degree in Electrical Engineering, ideally Chartered Engineer

v  Previous heavy engineering / large complex site, Electrical Engineering management experience

v  Process controls appreciation – SCADA etc

v  Six sigma trained / Continuous Improvement – highly desirable

v  Proven Strategic thinker, problem solver

v  Leadership, management, and high degree of people skills

v  Strong communicator at all levels

v  I.T / computer skills, MS Office / Outlook / MRP systems (SAP advantageous)
