Having first established in Australia over 150 years ago, they are a leading distributor of raw and tailored industrial materials and provider of complex technical services for Australian’s production and manufacturing sectors.

About the Role

Reporting into the Financial Controller and CFO, the Accountant is an integral role as part of the Centralised Services team of eight. This is a newly created hybrid role, supporting both upwards with financial accounting in areas such as reporting and forecasting; as well as downwards getting into the advanced transactional side with more complicated AP postings.

• Posting monthly accrual journals
• Accounts and bank reconciliation
• Processing intercompany debit notes
• Intercompany reconciliations
• Processing order related costs and allocations
• GL reconciliations
• Report preparation
• Sales forecast extraction and reporting
• AP account reconciliation
• Assisting in credit control

About You

We’re looking for a seasoned finance professional with sound Accounting experience. You’ll also be fully or partly qualified CPA bringing more depth of knowledge to the role; with excellent communication skills as you’ll be working up, down and across the business.

• Degree qualified in Accounting
• Advanced Excel and SAP system experience
• Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Great time management and prioritization skills
• Self-motivated and organized
