JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Software Engineer will help successfully develop new electrical power systems products that support AES being a world-recognized leader in aircraft electrical power generation, distribution and conversion for small to mid-sized business jets, UAV’s and rotorcraft and eVTOL (electric vertical take-off & landing).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops engineering and customer facing tools in compliance with DO-178C processes
• Develops user guides, interface and protocol specifications
• Subject Matter Expert of a software component
• Collaborate and participate in peer reviews with cross-functional team, customers and suppliers
• Proactively improve internal software development processes by applying industry best practices
• Provide estimates for assigned tasks to meet customer commitments
• Support customer training and questions
• Occasional opportunities to develop embedded software in compliance with DO-178C processes

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other related technical degree
• 5+ years of experience with software development in C/C++ or C#
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Preferred experience with remote development teams
• Preferred experience with Agile, Scrum or Kanban
• Preferred interest in leading software projects

• Must be a US Person (under ITAR rules) to be eligible

Salary range is $102,687 – $154,031 per year. Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
