POSITION OPPORTUNITY
This position is responsible for finding the best talent to enable Astro Pak’s growth and success while ensuring that talent is a match with the culture of our company. Our Talent Acquisition Specialist with work with the Talent Acquisition and Development Manager to enforce a talent acquisition strategy and manage the full lifecycle recruitment process by leveraging recruiting resources and utilizing strong client and candidate management skills.

This position will serve as a partner and advisor to our hiring managers by understanding the needs of the organization and supporting their efforts to source the best candidates and drive the process to a successful hire. Our Talent Acquisition Specialist will assist with the company’s Affirmative Action Plan and ensuring that Astro Pak is in compliance with federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university and community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
• Maintains the efforts of employment agencies and search firms.
• Schedules and attends job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.
• Provides information on company operations and job opportunities to potential applicants.
• Screens and refers qualified applicants to hiring manager for interviewing. May provide initial screening to obtain work history, education, training, job skills and salary requirements.
• Conducts reference and background checks.
• Assists in training programs for managers with a goal of improving recruiting and hiring efficiencies and reducing turnover.
• Researches, analyzes, prepares and presents hiring and statistics.
• Maintains records on recruiting activities as required.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
• 2-5 years of recruiting experience
• Proficiency in all full lifecycle components including, but not limited to: sourcing, qualifying, networking, assessing, legal, job analysis, and relationship management required
• Strong technical skills with proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Microsoft Office Applications
