We have an immediate opening for an Online Social Studies Teacher. In this role, you will deliver personalized and engaging instruction to high school students in various courses within your subject.

To be successful, you’ll need to be innovative. You’ll need to understand how to use technology to maximize student engagement and mastery of content.

This position is full-time and work-from-home in several states.

Job Duties

• Interact with students, parents/guardians, and mentors (counselors/advisors)
• Implement lesson plans consistent with the curriculum
• Deliver small group and individual instructional sessions
• Monitor student progress and providing intervention as needed
• Respond to a wide range of inquiries from students and parents/guardians
• Collaborate with other educators, professional staff, and administrators
• Support student recruitment, retention, and local outreach activities related to marketing, testing, and community building
• All other duties as assigned.

• Technological proficiency with the required hardware and software systems and the ability to learn new technology quickly.
• Attention to detail, excellent time management skills, and the ability to prioritize to ensure an outstanding customer experience
• Excellent oral and written communications skills
• Knowledge of tech/coding instruction preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• Strong technical expertise as it relates to sharing engaging content online
• Experience teaching, preferably online
• Ability to travel annually to assigned testing location to proctor state-required assessments
