The Vice President of Accounting and Finance is a strategical leader managerial accounting and financial management experience in postsecondary education sector . Possess a strong record in successful strategic planning and forecasting. In this role, the Vice President of Accounting and Finance is responsible for the accounting operations, annual budgeting, financial reporting, and analysis and forecasting for the organization.

Monthly and Year End Financial Close Process – Streamline corporate close process by removing unnecessary procedures and replacing with valuable analytics for faster access and improved accuracy of results.
Financial Reporting and Analysis – Established standard reporting for monthly analysis of actuals results and projections to highlight deviations from planned results and create division accountability.
Business Leadership – Engage daily with top management to present financial and other key information necessary to monitor the business. Maintain regular communication with financial and operational leaders to identify potential risks and opportunities. Interpret results and assess situations influencing the Company and the industry, critical to the decision- making process.
Operational Effectiveness ¬¬– Lead department by introducing operational efficiencies through best practices and automation while partnering with various Company teams to achieve common objectives for the benefit of the organization.
Human Resources Function – Work with PEO and leadership team to ensure systems are in place to support the onboarding, retention and team member engagement metrics are achieved.
Internal Control – Establish or modify procedures to strengthen controls and improve accuracy of financial statements.
Scholarships – Improved scholarship budget process, defining spendable balances for Financial Aid and other departments, to properly allocate and distribute available funds to students. Established scholarship cycle to create a procedure for timing of disbursement of funds to ensure transparency and accountability.
