Aston Carter has a Financial Consultant opportunity with one of the largest, most prolific, and historic Non-Profit organization in the county. This role is fully remote (EST or CST.) Exciting opportunity to work for one of our most prominent clients within the Healthcare Space. Experience with state departments of human services and oracle a big plus.

Job Description

This Finance Business Partner will work closely with the senior leadership and program personnel of company’s subsidiary to create a partnership that provides ‘real time’ support and analysis, to act as a trusted advisor and add value to assist in decision-making. This position oversees financial activities and assumes/business unit overall fiscal responsibility for multiple subsidiaries and in-line with core values and develops and monitors the financial goals and strategy in conjunction with senior leadership and corporate finance.

Job Description:

• Prepares annual budgets and forecasts monthly financial performance and cash flow
• Manages business performance by analyzing actual performance versus budget on an ongoing basis for financial and key operating metrics
• Prepares monthly income statement variance analysis by cost center to understand drivers of performance and levers for improvement
• Prepares financial models and scenarios to assist the business in decision-making
• Reviews customer contracts for financial terms and ensures appropriate revenue recognition
• Provides and coordinates all financial reporting requirements for payor and funding agencies
• Records revenue in the financial statements based on services rendered documented and billed
• Prepares financial statements for stand-alone subsidiary’s annual audited financial statements and works with the external auditor to ensure timely issuance
• Prepare reports (i.e. monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements) and formal presentations for executive leadership
• Cooperates with State of Department of Human Services, or any other authorized investigating body during an inspection or investigation
• Contribute to team effectiveness through communication and thorough completion of work responsibilities
• Advanced experience with Microsoft Excel

Qualifications

• Experience with multiple state funders, providers and/or contracts
• CPA or MBA
• Non-profit or healthcare industry experience
• Oracle
• Experience managing a team
• Experience with department of Human Services
