About The Position
At Joseph’s Classic Market, our Porters and Dishwashers are essential to the success of every department. By maintaining cleanliness and supporting daily operations, this role helps ensure a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for customers and team members alike. We believe in developing our team from within. As a Porter/Dishwasher, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting multiple departments, learn the importance of cleanliness and efficiency in daily operations, and develop transferable skills that can open the door to future opportunities within store operations and beyond. Many of our leaders started in entry-level roles, and we’re committed to helping motivated team members grow their careers with us.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to interpret and follow instructions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player with a positive, service-oriented attitude
- A passion for serving people
Responsibilities
- Properly clean dishes, pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc.
- Clean display windows, shelves, and fixtures
- Clean shopping carts and hand baskets; retrieve carts from the parking lot throughout the day
- Remove trash from all departments
- Operate dishwasher, pallet jack, knives, and other cleaning/warehouse equipment safely
- Communicate with managers if assistance is needed in any department
- Assist with other tasks as assigned
