About The Position
The Assistant Coach – Boys Swim will assist in the implementation of the athletic program’s philosophies and the school’s guidelines. This role involves developing players, teaching fundamentals and techniques approved by the state association for player safety, and assisting with equipment, facility preparation, and locker room supervision. The coach will also contribute to positive public relations and ensure compliance with state and conference regulations.
Requirements
- Sports First Aid Training
- CPR Training
- Trained in Protecting God’s Children, or willing to be trained
- Practicing Catholic in good standing is preferred, but not required.
- Consent to a background check.
- Commit to our Code of Conduct policy.
- Complete online and in-person training before hire.
Responsibilities
- Fully understand and assist in the implementation of the philosophies of the athletic program and the school.
- Develop players in specific areas of responsibility within the guidelines set forth by the head coach.
- Teach fundamentals and techniques that are approved by the state association regarding player safety.
- Assist in equipment check out/check in procedures.
- Assist in the preparation of field facilities for practices and contests.
- Assist in the supervision of the locker areas.
- Assist in providing a positive public relations outlook.
- Cooperate and abide by all state and conference regulations.
