Lietzke Australia Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of commercial doors, locks and prison security windows and doors. Our products have a high level of customisation to suit site specific requirements. Our manufacturing facility is located at Hendon, SA.

We are seeking to employ a purchasing professional that will report to our Finance Manager. The role would encompass:

• In consultation with project managers, production manager and details from project files determine requirements for the supply of materials, equipment and consumables.
• Liaise with suppliers to determine the availability and suitability of materials or services.
• Monitor stock levels, control and conduct regular stock take audits.
• Negotiate best price and delivery with suppliers in order to meet production schedule and project deadlines. Control of purchasing within project budgets constraints.
• Place purchase orders listing specific technical requirements, price and delivery through the business accounting system.
• Ensure that materials and services are provided in accordance with specification and agreed delivery. Chase up suppliers to ensure delivery is going to be met.
• Logistics booking and management for local and interstate freight of products to site.
• Review of goods receipt documentation to verify quantities and values for conformance with purchase order to company policy.
• Develop and implement purchasing management information to assist in the communication and control of materials for the benefit of other staff.
• Update stock control program with weekly stock transfers.
• Assist with other administrative tasks.

We seek interest from candidates with the following skills and experience:

• Previous experience working within metal fabrication / jobbing shop environment.
• Qualifications in metal trade or engineering would be highly regarded.
• Accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong computer skills including Excel
