Talocher School is a specialist school for girls and boys aged 7 to 19 with with social, emotional and mental health needs some also have an ASC diagnosis. The school provides a warm, welcoming and flexible environment for young people who are unable to attend mainstream education because of their additional learning needs.
Due to our growing student numbers, this is a full time position for an ASC teacher at KS3 & KS4. We are seeking to appoint a suitably qualified teacher to join our outstanding multi-disciplinary team. Previous experience of working with this population is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher and ideally have experience of teaching and supporting young people within SEN, along with the following characteristics:

Organisation – You will have experience of organising, planning and teaching well-structured lessons tailored to the needs of the pupils as well as monitoring each students learning needs, adapting teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of each pupil.

Attentive – No two tasks will be the same so being attentive to understand the needs of the young people we support is vital
