Director of Talent Acquisition & Compensation

Aspire Living & Learning is seeking a Director of Talent Acquisition & Compensation to join our team of enthusiastic and dedicated professionals. Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer, the Director of Talent Acquisition & Compensation will be responsible for the broad oversight of talent acquisition within the organization. This individual will design and implement recruitment plans and strategies to fulfill staffing needs. The Director will partner with leadership on various recruitment initiatives and will manage a team of recruiters.

Candidate MUST reside in NH, CT, MA, MD or VT to be considered for the role.

Responsibilities:

Talent Acquisition Duties

• Responsible for the broad oversight of talent acquisition activities within the organization.
• Design and implement successful recruitment strategies, policies and processes to recruit a diverse and qualified pool of candidates.
• Oversee the complete recruitment process, including job advertisement, applicant tracking, extending job offers, conducting background checks, etc.
• Recruit directly for some positions.
• Work closely with leadership to share best practices, provide consultation and coordinate initiatives.
• Develop and maintain relationships with universities, and colleges to ensure Aspire is linked to talent pipelines aligned to our organization’s focus.
• Develop and train managers on interviewing techniques and managing legally to ensure EEO and prevention of any unfair hiring practices.
• Participate in and/or host recruitment events.
• Set talent acquisition KPIs and implement tracking mechanisms.
• Measure key recruitment metrics and report to senior leadership on metrics.
• Lead and mentor a team of recruiters. Develop a high performing team to deliver against hiring targets in a competitive market.
• Create and maintain an environment of equal employment opportunity, diversity and competitive advantage in support of Aspire’s diversity, equity and inclusion strategic plan.
• Work on special projects.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Compensation Duties

• Develop and implement compensation programs, policies and procedures.
• Ensure all compensation programs, policies and procedures comply with federal and state compensation laws and regulations.
• Conduct comprehensive benchmarking and analysis to ensure the competitiveness of pay and programs align with Aspire’s business objectives.
• Partner with leadership to develop a compensation and total rewards framework that ensures Aspire is able to attract, recognize, reward and retain top talent.
• Prepare budgets, reports and presentations.
• Work on special projects.
• Perform other related duties as needed.

Education, Experience and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business administration, or relevant field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing all aspects of talent acquisition functions.
• At least three (3) years of experience supervising human resources and/or recruitment staff.
• Proven ability to design and implement successful recruitment strategies.
• Experience designing, developing and supporting organization-wide talent management
• Knowledge of compensation programs, policies, procedures and applicable legislation.
• Experience performing compensation salary benchmarking and analysis.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 including One Drive, Outlook, SharePoint and other applications. Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking System and HR databases.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, influencing and relationship building.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated leadership, organizational and time management skills.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and satisfactory driving record.

Physical and Other Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

• This position may occasionally require both business day, overnight and out-of-area travel.
