OPERATIONS EMPLOYEE
We are currently seeking a dedicated and hard-working Operations Employee who will be responsible for the operation of the production line and equipment, ensuring optimization of the life cycle of the cricket population while maintaining quality and safety standards. This is a labour-intensive position that requires individuals to perform repetitive tasks and stand for long periods of time. This role is located in London, Ontario and reports to the Operations Supervisor.
SHIFT STRUCTURE
This role is required to work the shift structure of a 2-3-2, 4 week days and 4 week nights, 12 hour shift rotation.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER
Promote a Health and Safety, Food Safety and GMP Culture by adhering to company standards at all times.
Operate and attend to production equipment, maintaining cleanliness of equipment and work area at all times; ensure equipment is operated and cleaned according to manufacturer guidelines and internal SSOP’s.
Adopt a continuous improvement mindset; understand and review the cricket life cycle through production processes, identifying areas of improvement and working collaboratively to generate effective and creative solutions.
Identify, investigate and report product and equipment deviations and malfunctions to the Leadership team.
Perform quality inspections as necessary to ensure the product is meeting quality standards.
Precisely collect required production data and statistics, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Perform cleaning and sanitization tasks on industrial equipment, as required, per internal SSOP’s; includes the disassembly and reassembly of equipment.
Set a positive example by complying at all times with Health and Safety and Quality and Food Safety policies.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE
A minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience; food manufacturing is considered an asset.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse team, in a fast paced environment; collaboration skills, as well as the ability to influence others.
Solid time management capabilities with the ability to effectively prioritize and execute deliverables.
Willing and able to follow specific instructions and perform repetitive tasks with minimal supervision.
You possess basic mathematical, verbal and written communication and reading skills, and possess rudimentary computer/tablet skills required.
