Aspen Medical Hiring for Finance Officer Job at Canberra Full Time

The responsibilities of this role include:

• creating new vendors
• lining up payments in the bank and informing the signatories
• creating payment batches and applying for payments
• writing/printing and dispatching cheques and super contribution summaries
• sending remittance advices
• AP/GL monthly reconciliation
• answering vendor enquiries
• AR Invoice preparation
• completing fortnight payroll billing reconciliation
• completing ad hoc duties assigned by the Manager.

Experience, Qualifications and Documentation Required:

Essential

• in-depth knowledge of accounting and generally accepted accounting principles
• knowledge of ACCPAC and Oracle systems
• thorough knowledge of Microsoft Suites such as Word or Excel
• excellent written and verbal communication skills
• excellent problem-solving and reconciliation skills
• strong attention to detail
• the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines
• the ability to work under pressure to produce outcomes
• experience in book-keeping and accounting
• knowledge of FBT/GST legislation
• knowledge of computerised accounting systems.

Desirable

• Knowledge of The Australian Accounting Standards Board (AASB) Standards
• A tertiary qualification such as an accounting degree or diploma.
