Senior Finance Analyst

THE ROLE

• We are responsible for managing all core costs across ASOS which includes payroll, rent/rates, travel, in addition to business partnering the support functions e.g. PX, Finance, Procurement teams.
• This role acts as the Finance Business Partner to the Procurement and Payments team.

Key responsibilities of this role:

• Work closely with the Procurement and Payments SLT to drive delivery of savings against cost targets and support with tracking these savings vs budget, including monthly reporting for the Ops Board
• Work with the Payments, Technology and Trading teams to develop business cases for the launch of new payment methods/initiatives and provide financial support for ongoing review and monitoring against KPI’s
• Complete ownership of transaction costs (the fees we pay to Visa, Mastercard etc), including responsibility for developing the annual budget, quarterly forecasting and month end accounting i.e. posting accruals/prepayments, balance sheet recs and analysing movements between forecast and actuals
• Work with the Payments, Trading and Financial Accounting teams to provide timely reporting and analysis of gift card sales, including providing financial support for business cases

What you’ll be doing…

• Acting as a finance business partner, supporting the Procurement and Payments teams to deliver against cost saving targets
• Work with the business to ensure correct and accurate end to end accounting, including cost controls, accruals required, accurate balance sheet reconciliations and ensure data integrity of information
• Work with the business to understand any business initiatives and associated change impacts from requirements through to successful implementation
• Forecasting on a quarterly/monthly basis, with continual focus on improving forecasting accuracy and efficiency
• Analysing movements between forecast and actuals/last year
• Produce timely, accurate and insightful reporting and analysis
• Ad hoc analysis and scenario modelling to inform business decision making
• Ensure appropriate and robust financial control environment, spanning from the posting of journals to assisting with supporting documentation for the external audit
