About our Client

Our client is going to be starting her first year at Oxford Brookes University as an Accounting and Finance student.

She has a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy and is a full-time wheelchair user.

She has a great sense of humour and doesn’t take life too seriously.

She enjoys watching Ice Hockey and Netflix whilst leading an active social life by meeting up with friends and family.

With a joyful and delightful persona, she is keen to experience the full University life, going to pubs, clubs and live music events.

About the Job

You will provide our client’s academic support and health and social care.

This is also a “flat mate” type of role which goes far beyond simply care work, and includes all the fun things you’d expect a first-year university student to be doing, like getting out and about to see friends, going to parties, attending events and much more!

Start Date: Early September (just before client starts Uni.)

Working: Live-in 7 days on / 7 days off

Pay: £150 Per day

Location: Oxford Brookes University

Care experience is not required as full training in our client’s particular requirements will be provided.

A driver is not essential for this role, but if you are, you must hold a full clean UK driving licence as you may driving our client’s adapted car.

5.6 week’s holiday pro rata.

About You

You are unlikely to have experience in every aspect of our client’s care therefore full training in her particular needs is provided.

You will need:

-To be physically fit, calm, patient and caring

-Good organisational skills and the ability to work on your own initiative

-To have a good sense of humour

-A mature and responsible attitude

-Good communication skills

-To be fluent in English.

-To be clean and tidy in both your appearance and ways.

-To be okay with pets

-To be a non-smoker
