The team

Information Technology Services provides a wide range of IT facilities and support services to ASIC. We are undertaking major technology projects that will transform our business and continue our significant technology transformation in a number of areas such as data and analytics, cloud, mobility, application modernisation. We make use of the latest technology with an increasing focus on data sharing and analytics which will make ASIC a ‘best in class’ regulator supporting the Australian financial markets.

The role

As a Commercial & Reporting Analyst, you will be required to:

• Continuously revise and improve current workflows, processes and procedures to gain greater efficiency and automation benefits
• Provide financial analytical support including reporting on and monitoring budgets, forecasting, KPIs, asset management, SLAs, licence consumption and contract management.
• Support purchase and billing processes within the Cloud Hosting Services Team.
• Partner with key stakeholders including Finance to ensure technology cost transparency and correct allocation of charges.
• Provide financial policy guidance to the Cloud Hosting Services team managers to assist their decision making
• Help prepare and maintain annual Hosting Services operational budget and business plans
• Update and maintain the Hosting Services Resource Plan with a forward 6-month view of approved BAU and Project workloads

About you

• Relevant qualifications in accounting or financial/analytical discipline.
• Excellent analytical skills – the ability to identify trends, patterns and insights from data.
• Experience in developing regular reporting utilising visualization tools: E.g. Power BI
• Ability to create clear and professional reports, procedures and other documentation
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with building and maintaining reports
• A keen eye for detail and the ability to self-validate output
• Strong time management and self-reliance to close gaps and complete deliverables
