Financial Accountant

Position Overview

At ASI Electrics we provide a range of services including electrical design, turnkey electrical installations, electrical refrigeration, engineering, and value enhanced solutions to provide an all-encompassing outcome for our clients.

The Financial Accountant is an integral part of the ASI Electrics team, in this role you will be expected to have exceptional attention to detail, strength of character to maintain robust financial controls, and desire to ensure compliance to financial standards.

Key Responsibilities

Financial ing

· Month- and year-end analysis, journal entries and processing

· Prepare and maintain reconciliations

· Preparation of periodic financial s, including annual financial statements

· Prepare position papers and supporting documentation for audit

· Ad-hoc s

· Maintain and update business-related registers and databases

Internal Control

· Internal Control implementation and monitoring

· Ensure consistency of spend categorisation

Tax

· Tax reconciliations and ing, including BAS, FBT, Income tax

Insurance

· Assist in preparation of annual insurance coverage questionnaires and workcover submissions

Financial Planning & Analysis

· Regular ing and analysis of performance against forecasts, ensuring consistency across platforms

Continuous Improvement

· Identify new and improved ways of operating across the business

· Develop new initiatives for efficiency improvements through presenting demonstrated

Qualifications and Skills

· Degree qualified

· CA/CPA Qualified / Finalist

· 3-years post-grad

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Proficient computer skills with the ability to quickly adopt to new systems

· Working with stakeholders from all levels internal and external

· Ability to multi-task with excellent time management skills with the ability to achieve targets
