About the Opportunity
The LOTE Finance Manager role is a key Management role in the ASC Finance Team, and is required to drive a performance-based culture to deliver high quality accounting services within the program. The Finance Manager will be the key Finance interface to the ASC LOTE (Life of Type Extension) project team and CoA customer. The role is heavily project accounting focused and will be responsible for key activities such as program reporting and analysis, forecasting, invoicing, bidding and tendering, management of the rates and overheads, foreign currency, escalation and overall financial management of the LOTE contract.
The LOTE Program works to extend the life of the Collins Class submarines is a strategically important project to both ASC and Australian Defence.The Life of Type Extension (LOTE) of the Collins Class submarine fleet will provide the nation with world-class submarine capability into the 2040s and beyond.
The role currently has one direct report and will Reporting to the Head of Finance – Programs on issues of significance arising from activities performed.
Responsibilities
The LOTE program is a highly complex and fast moving environment. It requires a good communicator with advanced interpersonal skills who can build and maintain strong working relationships with in the team and the customer.

The position will require you to operate with a reasonable degree of autonomy, drive and self-motivation. The role requires a solid level of technical knowledge of project accounting as well as the ability to drive change within a large project.

The successful candidate must provide ASC with a current National Police Clearance prior as well as be eligible for an Australian Defence Security Clearance, part of this eligibility requirement includes Australian Citizenship. Access protected US Defence Technology will be taken into account in assessing an applicant’s suitability for this role.
