Your Impact:

This role is a unique opportunity to join a newly formed Risk and Assurance Team covering the operations of Asahi Beverages Oceania. Using your ability to build lasting relationships, your strong communication skills, and enthusiasm, this position will play a leading role in the execution and delivery of the Internal Audit program.

Working with the Group Internal Audit Manager, you will ensure that all planned reviews are completed in an efficient, high quality and timely manner, with a focus on adding value to the business.

You will work collaboratively with key regional stakeholders and their teams to undertake audits in a professional manner, whilst assisting to positively influence and develop Asahi Beverages risk culture. Your findings and recommendations will add value and improve the effectiveness of the control environment across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Responsible for documenting audit procedures & establishing risk-based audit programs
• Collaborate with the Group Internal Audit Manager to scope and deliver reviews – perform interviews, walkthroughs, design risk and control matrices and perform testing
• Responsible for maintaining electronic work papers and evidence to support findings and recommendations
• Perform data analytics over transactional datasets to support control testing
• Provide high-quality audit reports with succinct and practical improvements which reflect the context in which the business operates
• Communicate findings and suggestions to all levels of management, including the associated risks
• Manage external service providers when they are engaged to assist with the execution of internal audit activities
• Perform action plan follow ups according to the Internal Audit Plan to ensure risks are mitigated in a timely manner
• Coach and mentor junior internal audit team members during the completion of internal audit reviews
• Provide support to AHA Companies in matters of process, internal controls and governance

About You

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Accounting or Finance; and a post graduate qualification (e.g. CA / CPA / CIA)
• Previous experience with FMCG/manufacturing being highly regarded but not essential
• In-depth knowledge of business processes and controls
• Minimum of four (4) years experience in delivering an internal audit program and the associated reviews
• Knowledge of data analytics and how to leverage data to support the planned reviews
• Superior business writing skills to clearly report your findings and recommendations at a senior level

• Excellent communication and presentation skills – able to deliver engaging and persuasive messages to senior management and other internal and external stakeholders

As part of this newly created team, you will be a team player who has experience in a similar role from either industry, Big 4 or mid-tier professional services firm with exposure to internal controls assurance, risk management and data analytics.
