SUMMARY

Responsible for accounts receivable daily operations, analysis of incoming cash, collection of past due receivables, and cash forecasting and reconciliation for US, Canada and Mexico.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain effective communication with customers, plants and department heads to ensure that all shipments are invoiced accurately, completely and timely and cash is collected promptly.
• Provide data analysis to the management team related to sales, collection of past dues, balance sheet metrics as assigned
• Prepare weekly reports and provide insights into the data
• Research to explain discrepancies and to be able to work with process owners to improve process accuracy and efficiency
• Complete account reconciliations for the month end close process and communicate any issues to management
• Prepare monthly reports as requested
• Ad hoc reporting and analysis as requested
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of the General Ledger, Cash Flow and Accounts Receivable. Ability to review aging and open manifest reports to understand and explain issues and collect for every item shipped out the door.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all layers of the organization. Must be able to break down complex accounting issues into understandable concepts as related to Accounts receivable and cash processes.
• Ability to work with cross-functional groups to implement corrective actions.
• Strong systems skills. Ability to retrieve data from systems and convert into actionable information. Able to recommend and test system improvements. Need to be able to retrieve and analyze data independently.
• Self-directed. Capable of exercising independent judgement and discretion to solve problems.
• Solid working knowledge of Excel.

EDUCATION &/OR EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or other Business Degree.
• 5+ years’ experience in accounts receivable and accounting.
• Manufacturing experience a plus, but not essential

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 – $70,000.00 per year
