ARV Solutions Contracts Looking for Technical Manager at Wolverhampton, West Midlands Full Time

Technical Manager now required for a manufacturer of construction products with a focus in the Building, Industrial and Infrastructure sector.
As the Technical Manager you will report to the Business Unit Director and manage a growing design team, take ownership for products and process design, own standards/accreditations, approvals for their portfolio and provide technical support for the business development team.

The Role
* Ensure that customer needs are understood and translated into detailed technical product specification requirements
* Understand market dynamics, installation processes and service requirements and support the Installation & Warranties Manager in defining appropriate service models
* Work closely with core technical/R&D to align on requirements and developments, and incorporate them into the overall solution design
* Ensure the delivery of appropriate service provisions and maintain relationships with third party partners as required
* Ensure structured and agile project management of all technical activities
* Ensure the safe, effective and timely delivery of production trials to support the product development process
* Prepare and present capital expenditure proposals for investments to develop the product and optimise the manufacturing process
* Experience using engineering CAD software systems
* Building construction knowledge
* Experience of managing programmes and people
* Overall control of product design and the development process
* R+D, standards, accreditations and approval of system designs
* Experience of working with external professional organisations

Requirements
* Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer
* Product Development in construction, industrial, fluid management or similar technology will be an added bonus.
* Microsoft 365 package / AutoCAD experience
* Experience managing a team
