About this career opportunity:
The role holder will primarily work with our members and the wider People team delivering advice, support, administration and coordination for a defined sub-region. Activity undertaken will reflect the philosophy of the People Plan and work within the central People Services team.
Key activities and tasks will include:
Supports all cyclical and member life cycle activity for assigned sub-region so that the wider People team and members feel supported and positive results are achieved
Works with local Operational People Partner to identify and understand local business need and seek specialist support from our centres of excellence teams where appropriate.
Responsible for the quality, accuracy, and integrity of the People data for the business area.
Monitoring, reporting and analysing data in line with business needs including production of monthly MI dashboards and identifying trends and patterns from data analysis.
Provide expert advice, administration and coordination of all people related processes and policies for assigned sub-region, throughout the member lifecycle, working to achieve first time resolution.
Looks for innovative ways to enable self-service and maximise people system capabilities.
Responsible for onboarding and induction of new staff and staff transferring within business groups.
Support and have a sound understanding of the local well-being programme initiatives.
Working closely with the Operational People Partner to provide support to local sub regions and embed and implement programmes for the geography.
Contribution to People Programmes and projects in line with annual calendar when required.
Responsible for management of sickness absence in sub region and coaching managers on areas such as reasonable adjustments, occupational health and support pathways.
Monitor and assess absence trends, promoting early intervention and flagging trends to operational partner.

Supporting Employee Relations and Performance in sub region.
Ensure all immigration and visa requirements are compliant and conduct processes and checks accordingly. Support and advise member so on right to work processes.
We are looking for candidates with the following knowledge, skills, experience and attributes:
Confidence and self-belief to provide advice and coordination of people activity through effective communication.
Awareness of business teams and the environment and markets in which they work.
Use sound judgement to understand context, make connections and build relationships.
Provide a proactive service, enabling members to become empowered and more self-serving.
Experience working with HR systems and IT software.
Sees change as an inevitable part of life and adapt to this in a positive way looking at continuous improvements of processes, systems and advice in People services.
Comfortable to challenge where appropriate and always working to seek ways in which People Services can ‘add value.’
Flexible and mobile to support businesses in the Region when needed
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate clearly both written and oral
Comfortable with a changing environment and ability to embrace and understand new technologies, harnessing people systems to deliver operational excellence.
Demonstrates taking ownership of own continuous personal development to ensure delivery of best practice.
Likely to be studying or achived CIPD
Experience of working in a similar environment or role.
