About the role

The Southern Analyst supports the Operations Manager, Revenue and Employment, billing in end-to-end billing practices, maintaining data integrity to ensure timely recognition of revenue. Application of in-depth industry knowledge and accounting expertise will facilitate reviews of contracts by understanding key business drivers that impact financial performance. This role will have a specific focus on Community Supports, Southern (Victoria). The focus of the role is to ensure billing timeframes are met effectively, thus maximising revenue for each billing cycle. The role will also focus on providing recommendations for process improvements, which includes contributing to the development of reporting that provides value for informed decision-making, ensuring compliance with all National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and legislative requirements

A day in the life of a Southern Analyst – Reporting, Documentation & Billing

• Delivers informative reporting to the Operations Manager, Revenue and Employment, RGM and operational stakeholders
• Strong attention to detail
• Produces ad-hoc reports as requested to support quality management
• Ensures accurate and timely billing including export and import of employment services
• Follows up and corrects unsuccessful claims, taking action on historical unsuccessful claims to minimise recurrence and communicating with stakeholders as required.
• Maintains and updates NDIA customer data
• Facilitates appropriate source documentation or evidence for internal or external audits as required
• Processes fortnightly billing from payroll and tasks associated with SM/PM clients
• Follows up and corrects unsuccessful claims, communicating with stakeholders as required
• Oversees historical unsuccessful claims to minimise recurrence
• Ensures confidentiality of customers, their families/carers, and the organisation

Skills and Experience

• Previous experience working with a large data base
• Experience in billing and processing
• Experience in finance or accounts
• Qualification in finance or accounts would be highly desirable but not necessary
