Artemis Distribution Hiring for Finance Systems Manager Job at Remote Full Time

Artemis Distribution is looking for a Finance Systems Manager that will support our finance systems users by providing specialist knowledge of business systems and processes. They will be responsible for the technical support of all software applications used by the finance department and associated processes e.g. inventory management. In this role, the Finance Systems Manager will ensure data integrity, help develop automated solutions and work in collaboration with other departments to develop solutions that streamline and automate processes in an administrative capacity. This role reports to the VP of Finance.

Scope:

• Finance systems include the full FinancialForce suite, Conga, Asperato, Avalara and other finance related systems.

• Any process that impacts our books directly or indirectly e.g. inventory management, procurement, etc.

• Management of 3rd parties; both consultancies and software providers.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a deep and expert understanding of system controls and assist in continuous improvement efforts to enhance performance and functionality.

• Provide general maintenance of system structures and hierarchies.

• Assist in detailed functional testing of system implementations, upgrades, and enhancements as they relate to finance and accounting.

• Build strong relationships with external partners and ensure that they are delivering on requirements.

• Responsible for the accuracy and data integrity of financial database systems including, OPI, general ledger, billing and analytics.

• Balance general ledger data, researching and resolving data discrepancies between systems during month-end close.

• Provide in-house user education and support for issue resolution related to financial systems.

• Open support incidents, troubleshoot, and escalate as necessary.

• Develop and lead change management process for all requested system changes and enhancements which will include testing, data validation, and communicating downtime to users.

• Ensure calculations, business rules, and workflows are appropriately configured.

• Maintain documentation and proper approvals for security, new user setup, decommissioning and general maintenance.

• Develop, maintain, and present proposed list of projects, system issues and requirements to management team for approved prioritization and monthly review.

• Examine current operational requirements to improve efficiencies.

• Identify opportunities to increase automation, streamline processes and reporting, improve accuracy and reduce the amount of time required to complete specific tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in finance or accounting

• 7+ years’ experience in job related role showing progressive growth in responsibilities

• Knowledge of FinancialForce best practices ideally – alternatively experience with Salesforce plus SAP or equivalent

• Strategic and analytical thinker with superior problem solving and decision-making skills

• Ability to work autonomously and balance direction from several stakeholders

• Proficient in Excel and functions such as Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills

• Highest level of integrity and good judgment, with the ability to effectively deal with highly sensitive and confidential information

• Proactive, possess written and oral communication skills to clearly and concisely summarize conclusions and observations to management
