Arsenal FC Hiring for Emerging Talent Coordinator (U16 – U17) Job at United Kingdom Full Time

We are looking for an Emerging Talent Coordinator to support our Head of Talent Identification and wider team to create and maintain a market-leading youth scouting strategy, plan and associated processes.

This role will provide a vital connection between our Academy and Men’s First Team Recruitment and Loans. You will support the remit and criteria for player acquisitions within the U16– U17 bracket, by creating and actioning recommendations whilst also providing assistance to the U15 – U16 age group lead.

Your day-to-day

• Strategic analysis across Academy age groups U16-U17, acting as a link between our Academy and Men’s First Team ensuring all information is shared appropriately to achieve alignment.
• Scout and recommend prospective target players within the U16 – U17 age group and provide support for U15 player identification.
• Contribute to succession planning documents in line with stakeholder requirements to ensure up to date insights.
• Contribute to all required aspects of player recruitment, including presenting to families and intermediaries.
• Conduct in-depth research into leagues and identified players, maintaining awareness of industry developments.
• Understand and comply fully with the rules and code of conduct for scouts, and approach recruitment with utmost adherence to our values.
• Produce detailed player reports using the relevant digital platforms as required by the department to support the identification and cross-checking of domestic and when required, international talent.

What we are looking for

• Demonstrable experience working within a recruitment role in a professional football club.
• Extensive knowledge and experience of the football industry, rules and regulations, governing bodies and recruitment landscape within it.
• Previous scouting and robust player analysis experience within an elite environment.
• Possess a well-established and wide network of club, scouting and intermediary contacts to support the identification of valuable market opportunities and to provide the capacity to gather important intelligence quickly.
• Proven and demonstrable track record of accurate identification of elite talents before they established themselves at the highest level.
• Ability to retain a very high standard of output whilst operating within strict and expeditious deadlines.
• Exceptional inter-personal skills that facilitate the effective delivery of performance insights, build connections and support a strong team cohesion.
• Excellent communication and relationship building skills with people of all ages. The ability to understand and empathise with our young players is vital, while also having the ability to build relationships with coaches and the parents of the players.
